The Dauntless Dote Insights and FAQ

Hello fellow readers, I am Zheng Yang and I am a new co-author of Le Vanguard. Hope my posts will help you guys understand more about vanguard. Today, I will be assessing a card that we are very familiar. DAUNTLESS DRIVE DRAGON, also known as DDD. For the convenience of those who do not know what its effect is, here.
BT11-005
[AUTO] Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage): When a «Kagerō» rides this unit, choose one of your vanguards, that unit gets [Power]+10000 and "[AUTO](VC):[Choose three cards from your hand, and discard them] At the beginning of the close step of the battle that this unit attacked, if this unit did not [Stand] during this turn, you may pay the cost. If you do, [Stand] this unit." until end of turn. [AUTO](VC): When this unit attacks, if the number of rear-guards you have is more than your opponent's, this unit gets [Power]+2000 until end of that battle. [CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit that doesn't belong to the same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)

This card have its strong points and weak points.
Strong Points:
-The 10k power it gives its vanguard.
-The fact that you are able to stand again to attack with massive attack power.
-The 11k base which makes you almost immune to those pesky 12k attckers with 8k boosters.

Weak Points:
-Its a limit break(4) card, you will need 4 damage to activate the breakride.
-when you ride this card, its as good as having a -1(cards lost during that turn) and to activate this card ability, its another -1(cards lost during that turn.)
-This card will not be able to make a HUGE combo with DOTE, for the convenience of those who do not know the card, here:
BT05-S05EN-SP
[CONT](VC/RC):If you have a non-«Kagero» vanguard or rear-guard, this unit gets [Power]-2000. [CONT](VC):If you have a card named "Dragonic Overlord" in your soul, this unit gets [Power]+2000. [AUTO] (VC):[Counter Blast (2) &Choose a card named "Dragonic Overlord the End" from your hand, and discard it] When this unit's attack hits, you may pay the cost. If you do, [Stand] this unit.

Now I will explain about why DOTE and DDD combo was trolled by bushiroad. When the attack does not hit, you can use DDD skill to stand again, however you must use his effect first as if you choose to use DOTE's effect first as DDD has a restricting skill(if this unit did not [Stand] during this turn, you may pay the cost. If you do, [Stand] this unit." until end of turn.)

So should i not use DOTE with DDD?
It is still usable, however if my first attck hit, i would use DOTE effect first to get the +1(cards gained that turn. However, you may take the risk and use DDD's skill first, however, i suggest only do this on your FINAL TURN.

What other cards can I play with DDD?
Eclipse is my personal favourite, for those who do not know its skill,
[CONT](VC):If you have a card named "Amber Dragon, Dusk" in your soul, this unit gets [Power]+1000. [ACT](VC):[Counter Blast (2)] This unit gets "[AUTO](VC):When this unit's attack hits a vanguard, choose up to two of your opponent's rear-guards, and retire them." until end of turn.

This adds TONS of pressure on your vanguard circle as your opponent risks two units being retired and yes, this skill only needs to be activated once per turn and it will still have the skill when he restands with DDD's ability. However the downfall of this card is that if I do not have the g2 version of amber dragon in soul, eclipse will be a weak 10k vanguard. Other cards that can be used with DDD are endless and it all boils down to personal preference.

Why put (if this unit did not [Stand] during this turn, you may pay the cost. If you do, [Stand] this unit." until end of turn.) at the last minute?
Well, simply put, it combos too well with dote and to prevent overuse of DOTE, this ability was added to DDD. Trust me, if this part was not part of the awesome skill of DDD, it will be overused and thus will lead to restirction of dote yet again, fellow DOTE fans, take this part of the ability as a price to pay to free DOTE. From the chains of restriction!

I have a DOTE deck but have budget issues, what can I do?
Easy, i reccomend this g3 lineup, 2 Dantless Drive Dragon, 2 Dragonic overloard, 4 DOTE. Why? you may ask, if u manage to ride either DO or DDD, it will give you a huge advantage over tour opponent. IF DOTE over DO, CROSSRIDE! 13k base. If DDD then you get the awesome breakride ability.

Conclusion
Overall, if on the scale of 1-10, I give DDD 8/10. Its has an awesome ability but it restricts DOTE and plus, its a LIMIT BREAK(4) card, so you may not use his effect till the fourth damage, which skilled players will know how to deal with that.

Well thats all I have to say about DDD. Please provide feedback about my views about DDD or even better, do enlighten me more about DDD if i have to stated in any of my points above. Thanks for your time!

Study guide on Seal Dragons

Hi guys, This is Le Jester over here. Today i am gonna share with you about sealed dragons and why they are OP and can screw your opponent's aqua force deck.

Seal Dragons
7247e8c4Burning Hell Seal Dragon, Blockade Inferno
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (2) - Cards with "Seal Dragon" in its card name] Retire all of your opponent's grade 2 units, and this unit gets [Power]+10000 until end of turn. [CONT](VC):If you have a card named "Seal Dragon, Blockade" in your soul, this unit gets [Power]+2000. [CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you do not have units with the same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack.)

Okay folks lets discuss about the uses of this card. So its a counterblast 2 cards with seal dragons to get a +10k to retire all grade 2s on the field. The question you might wanna ask would be: Isn't Armor Break Dragon better where it retires the front row. My answer is both cards are strong and has its uses however i gotta say that sealed dragons are very effective against decks like Aqua Force. Why is that so?

BT08-007 RRR
Storm Rider, Basil is a grade 2. Aqua force usually flood their field with at least 2 to 3 grade 2s on the field. And basil is one of the most irritating cards that would always hide at the backrow when finished delivering the 1st attack with it. So how do i kill that son of a gun? One way is to use cards like dragonic deathscythe, berserk dragon to target it and retire it for the same cost of counterblast 2. Another way is to kill them with the effect of blockade inferno. Another question about blockade inferno you might ask will be, what if opponent has only grade 3s and 1s on the field or he only has one grade 2?

Let me introduce another card in this archetype of sealed dragons which will answer this question for me.

Koduroi
Seal Dragon, Corduroy
[AUTO]:[Counter Blast (1) - Cards with "Seal Dragon" in its card names] When this unit is placed on (VC) or (RC), if you have a <Kagero> vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your opponent's rear-guards, and retire it, and your opponent look at up to four cards from the top of his or her deck, chooses up to one grade 2 from among them, call it to (RC), and your opponent shuffles his or her deck.

So in this case... What if opponent controls a diamantes thats sits at the backrow as well. Here is one method to screw your opponent up. Use Corduroy to retire the diamantes and hopes he get a basil from the top 4 cards that he picked up to call to rearguard. So why a Basil? Coz you wanna screw up your opponent field and clear all the basils in the deck which will render their Blue Storm Dragon, Maelstrom useless without any 4th attacks. or alternatively you can retire their booster behind their vanguard to call a basil out.

So what i wanna say is that Aqua force is totally no threat to seal dragons at all and is extremely fun to play and troll with.

In other words the combo you need to pull off the stunt is:
7247e8c4 +  Koduroi

After babbling so much about the aboved mentioned combos, Can blockade inferno be played with Dauntless drive dragon? My answer is yes, You dont say. It can be played like a final turn kind of thing. Where blockade and corduroy help you clear all intercepters and rearguards, dauntless drive breakride ability help you to gain additional 10k attack power and also an ability to stand you vanguard again at the cost of discarding 3 cards.

So in total, 11k + 10k + 10k = 31k unboosted vanguard and a 39k with a 8k booster. So in other words, your opponent has to drop a 30k guard for 1 trigger pass and 35 for two and 40 for no trigger pass. But what if i pull all effects into my vanguard and restand it again. So assuming i play criticals, It will be a 41k without any boost and if i were to get both trigger to power up my vanguard. So for the 2nd attack, it will be a 35k guard for 1 trigger pass, 40k guard for 2 trigger pass and 45k for a no trigger pass. To total up, It will be a 40k + 45k = 85 guard to guard the vanguard alone. And assuming both your rearguard columns are 18k, it be a total of 105k guard if your opponent do not have any negates on his hand.

Oh well, that all for now folks, to conclude. Sealed dragons are Badasses that will be a potential OP contender alongside with narukami and their dragonic descendant.

Highlights in Le-Vanguard MarketPlace & Updates

Hi guys, here is some highlights of what is going on in our marketplace.

Ya saw it... We decide to suspend some members in our marketplace and also trolled them in return. That's what ya get for backdealing over here.

Speaking of backdealing, We actually do have rules in the marketplace where most of you all fail to read and comply.

Rules and Regulation
Hey traders, Here is some of our updated rules and regulation that you have to abide.
1. Bidding/ Auction.
In this group, bidding and auction is allowed. However the post must meet our conditions for us to allow it.

- Make sure that your bid has these criteria: Starting bid, Closing date, Autowin price, minimum increment. Without any of these, We will hide or delete your post without any warning.

-At any given time, there can only be 3 Auction / Bid in this group at any given time. Therefore if there is 3 bids, you may not post any more bids and auction on this place until it expires or its closed.

-Bidding and auction period should not exceed a period of 48 hours duration after it is posted and will expire immediately. This is to give chance to other people who wants to bid and auction their cards and to prevent flooding of the page.

2. Backdealer, Galahaders, Aeroplaners.
In this group backdealers will be blacklisted for minimum of 3 months until there is a clean record and new feedback from dealers.

3. Verbal Abuse and Profanity.
Insulting of members or admins with the use of Vulgarities is strictly not allowed in this group. Members who are caught doing this will be kicked and removed without any warnings.

4. Spamming and repetitive postings.
Spamming is not allowed in this group. Each member is only allowed to post up to twice a day. Duration between each posts should not be lesser than 8 hours. This is to prevent flooding of the marketplace by the same user and to give equal chance for all members to post and trade.

Meanwhile, Happy dealing.

So back to my post. Why i make all these rules for, Is to give every trader an equal chance to trade and put those Aeroplaners and Backdealers to Justice. I guess I have made clear about it.

Next we are going to talk about the type of traders and players we have in the Vanguard Scene of Singapore.

1.Aeroplaner
Our Standard type of Stealth Planes where will turn off their phones and will not turn up no matter what. Often uncontactable and untraceable during the time of transaction. When contacted will say that "I got something on that day. PS can deal next week?".

2. Mr. Invisible
This is the type of people that will Aeroplane or Pang Seh and will not turn up for your agreed transaction no matter how far or near the POC is and will pretend and say "I wait at there but you didn't turn up". They are the type that will push the blame to the dealer instead of themselves.

3.Rich Jimmy
This guy is someone who is very rich and can afford to play Best tier deck. Often dio scammed and not very strong in skills. Play the deck just because they can. In other words noobs that are rich. Note that they are often very arrogant and often misplace and lost their deck. Often act as the spark for the case of Deck Thefts

4.Trollahad
Make false deals and also make false offer on posts. Watchout for this bunch of trolls they often cheat your feeling and will 100% pang seh and aeroplane you. Will not turn up and will pretend and say he never post or commented.

5.Forget me Not
Often forgets and genuinely forget to turn up for transactions and deals. People like this, i suggest ya contact closely and remind them of the deal. Also have a high tendency of leaving their deck behind after a match and also another target for deck thefts.

Here is only the part 1 of the list.... Stay tune for part 2.

BT11 part 2: A tale of 2 cards

Sry folks on the late posting of news. x.x I've been busy lately.
Anyways here are more news of BT11 and also tips and my comments about it.

Here is our new section of the blog. A tale of two cards. So what's it all about? We will compare and contrast cards with similar effect. Here is our 1st tale.

Armor Break Dragon
ArmorBreakDragon VS BT07-017EN RR
Armor Break Effect:
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (3) & Choose three cards from your hand, and discard them] Retire all fighter's rear-guards in the front row, and this unit gets [Power]+10000/[Critical]+2 until end of turn. [CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit that doesn't belong to the same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)

What?? CounterBlast 3 + 2 criticals and retire everyone's front row?
However it came with a heavy price of discarding 3 cards from hand.
Is this card strong? I can't give a definite answers but i can share my opinions on it though. After all it is a game full of opinions where there is no definite build in anything.

Lets make a comparison with Reijy. 11k vs 10k. Seems that armor break has better defense based on its attack and not too easily ramped down by cards.
How bout its card effect? Retire all frontrow rearguards on both sides of the field. It can be a double edged sword to use it and has to be timed properly for it to be effective.

How to minus your self with this effect will when your opponent has no rearguards in the frontrow and you have a full field with little cards in hand. That is a -5 for yourself.

So when is the best time to use him? Its when you have 1 or no rearguards and opponent has a full field with a small hand size. This way, you pressure him with a 21k+8k boost with 3 criticals to guard no matter what. Not to forget he would not have any units to intercept as well. Best situation would be a double critical trigger check and your opponent knows he can concede.

How bout Reijy? Many people said 15 soul is hard to get? Is it? If you are following my posts, I have shown you how easy to get the 15 soul with reijy by turn 5 or 6. Its not that hard you know.
Anyways speaking of reijy effect, its simply very consistent with the +2 criticals as long it has a 15 soul under him. Means opponent will get pressure to guard him every turn which is similar to perfect raizer. Whereas what i feel makes reijy strong is its consistency. However its lack of power, cause it to be quite easily guarded by units and opponent need not always need to throw a perfect guard to defend against him.

Do look out for my new post where we compare more new cards to what we already have. and also bt11 supports and releases.

Troll decks: Dark Irregulars Reijy

Sick of playing decks that are of the mainstream meta?
Here are some ideas on what other decks you can play to troll your opponent during tourneys.

Blade Wing Reijy
His effects are:
[CONT](VC):If the number of «Dark Irregulars» in your soul is fifteen or more, this unit gets [Critical]+2. [AUTO]:When this unit is placed on (VC), choose one of your «Dark Irregulars» rear-guards, search your deck for up to three cards with the same name as that card, put them into your soul, and shuffle your deck.

This card is indeed the best troll in the format to shut down all limit break decks. Now your opponent would want to wish they have a Limit Break 3 instead. Basically leaving your opponent at 3 damage with this card, automatically shuts down their deck mechanisms and power plays that will screw you up. By leaving at them at 3 damage, not only did it cripple them, but also pressure them to guard this card no matter what. This will also save you from the IMBA stunts of the spike brother decks and prevent major plays such as the dragger-dudley combo.
Here is a decklist on how this deck is build.
G0:
1x greedy hand
4x draw trigger
8x critical
G1:
3x March Hare of Nightmareland
4x Demon bike of witching hour
4x Yellow bolt
4x Alluring Succubus

G2:
4x Decadent Succubus
3x Emblem Master
4x Flirtatious Succubus

G3:
4x Blade wing reijy
3x Maquis of the demon world, Amon

How does it work?
How do i get my 15 soul?
Turn 1:
Ride Yellow bolt on greedy hand
BT07-019EN RR BT07-087EN C
Yellow bolt's effect:
ACT【V/R】: [Rest this unit] If you have a «Dark Irregulars» vanguard, Soul Charge (1).

Greedy hand effect:
AUTO: When another «Dark Irregulars» rides this unit, you may call this card to Rear-guard Circle. ACT【R】: [Counter Blast (1) & Put this unit into your soul] Search your deck for up to one grade 2 or less «Dark Irregulars», put it into your soul, and shuffle your deck.

Meaning, you ride yellow bolt, greedy hand move to rearguard.
Soul size = 0
Rest Yellow bolt effect.
Soul size =1
Use Greedy hand effect to move him to soul and put a grade 2 or below to soul.
Soul size =3

Turn 2:
Ride Decadent Succubus
BT03-043EN-C + PR-0019EN or BT03-024EN-R
Decadent succubus effect:
AUTO【V】: When another of your «Dark Irregulars» is placed on Rear-guard Circle, you may Soul Charge (1).

Soul size =4
Ride her as a vanguard on turn 2, call Alluring succubus and Flirtatious Succubus for a +2 soul each.
+2 +2
Soul size =8
Call demon bike behind vanguard.
Soul size =9
Call emblem master.
Soul size =10
Attack opponent vanguard with emblem master, boosted with Alluring Succubus.
Use counterblast when attack hit vanguard.
Soul size = 10 ~ 13(under perfect condtion)

Turn 3:
Ride Reijy.
Soul size=11 ~ 14
Use reijy effect to soul charge 3 demon bike.
Soul size 14 ~ 17.
Minimum soul size should be around 12~14 under worse case scenario.
Reijy at 15 soul @_@

Trolling begins at turn 4 onwards.
